How to read a point

Latitude is how far north or south (the horizontal lines). Longitude is how far east or west (the vertical lines). Write latitude first: 24°N, 64°W.

Every line on this island is North and West — you will not see the equator or the prime meridian. Use the compass rose (North is up) and the map key to read the symbols. Named areas are labeled; turn Places off for a harder quiz. Click to drop a pin. When your teacher calls a coordinate, find the crossing lines and name the place.
